Sugar decolorization using ion exchange resin has been a vital part in providing white, high quality sugar. Therefore resin selection is a very important matter. We provide ion exchange resin for application in the sugar decolorization process. Our acrylic and styrenic resin are available to ensure long resin life with very low ICUMSA color.

Various Resin Types
There are some types of ION-EXCHANGE RESIN used for the cane sugar refining process. Those types are SBA Gel Type 1 as a low crosslinking poly-styrenic gel resin type which is recommended for economic decolorization of low color value (200-400 I.U.) syrup, SBA Porous Type 1 as a low crosslinking styrenic porous resin type which is recommended for economic decolorization of mid color value (400-800 I.U.) syrup, and SBA Porous Type 2 as an acrylic porous resin type which is recommended for decolorization of high color value (1.000-2.000 I.U.) syrup.
